HELP Smell

Hi girls.can anyone give me any suggestion's as to how to rid the house we have just bought of cig smoke? the carpet is too good to just rip up also it's All through the house so would cost quite a bit to replace , the house has been empty for 12 months while the owner was in hospital then moved to be with her daughter and put the house on the market.
As some of you know I'm moving for health reasons myself so I'm not looking forward to the move ! now this smell is making the move all the harder for me. Didn't know cigarettes could smell SOOOOOOOOOOO bad.  I did /do smoke under stress I keep going back to the rotten things but if I do have one it's outside and not right next to other people.
ANY help would be great we will be having the carpet cleaned

Moving form country to town

Hi girls, Sorry I have not posted for quite some time I just lost my MOJO for no apparent reason , now we have just sold our house and are moving into town, not because we want to however health reasons say it's what we must do.
So now I'm hoping that the change will help me get my life back in order and  get my MOJO back where it should be.
So I'm thinking I now need to change my blog name yet again since I wont be in my country cottage after the 4th of next month.

This is a page I did of my Granddaughter and her boyfriend Gerry at a wedding on Devonport beach in February , I did not want to put too much on the page and take away from the actual picture of them , The paper matches her dress and the label at the top matches his shirt.

What do you do when you have lost your sewing mojo and found another mojo for scrapping and card making ??  No  doubt it wont last too long :)

Lovely day out

Who did I have lunch with today ?? your friend and mine Rosie , we went to Anvers chocolate factory and had the most lovely lunch (NOT CHOCOLATE) Qiqa had to have a play in the delivery train with Rosie :)

lovely surprise in my mail box

I got a great big surprise in my mailbox yesterday morning it was soo exciting, I could feel something soft inside however as everybody who lives in the country knows you have to drive to your mailbox so most times you pick up your mail on your way back home at night , with it being winter here that means it's dark so me being me could not wait till I drove back to the house (no street lights out here) so I just HAD to put on the car light and rip into it and it turned out to be a gift from my friend Jo of Lilly Pilly formally Jo in tas and I just love it to bits Thanks heaps Jo I just love it,  OK so this post is back to front what do I do to get the pic at the bottom ????

would you believe from this at the Sheraton to this

I was  one of millions of people stranded at Melbourne Airport on Sunday night, what annoyed me most was not the fact that over the air came the announcement Jet star management have now decided we will not be flying! anybody with a brain at all would understand and accept this as a small price to pay considering the poor folks in Chili and the affect on them, it was the fact that Jet star personnel had magically  vanished when we went back to "check in" for help as to where to try for a room or what to do next ALL the other airlines had staff helping passengers to find accommodation etc., being a long weekend all the hotels we knew in Melbourne were fully booked already then with all the people who were stranded on top of that !!! We eventually were helped by a lady who was at the airport shuttle counter so we ended up in a hotel at St Kilda (NEVER AGAIN ) we went from this  to this which folded up when one of us (not me) sat on it. this by the way cost us $245.00 per night talk about taking advantage of  a disaster situation

Hi girls,
I'm going to have to be in Melbourne at the weekend do any of you know of a quilting shop to visit while there? I'll be staying at the Hilton on the Park I believe it's East Melbourne  I dont know Melboune so Havent a clue where anything is any ideas would be great thanks

My great granddaughter with her quilt which I'm happy to say she loved, also with her new seven week old brother in his wee woolie suit which we all needed today.

Narah's quilt done at long last

This is the quilt for my granddaughter Narah it has been a long time in the making it is all hand quilted so took ages , I'm sure she will be pleased when I take it over to her today she has waited sooooooooooo loooong for it :)

This is the quilt I have made for my Granddaughter for when she has her first bub it's my version of Bears in my Garden which I have changed around a fair bit and added an extra few bears. :) hope she likes it.

Just got home

WE, Rosie, Debbie (non blogger) and I have arrived home after 4 days in Hobart had a great time , sorry no pics as yet
We all spent a lovely afternoon Sunday at the lovely Jo's for an afternoon of stitching only problem was I did not even get my stitching out my bag we were too busy talking and drinking lovely coffee made by Jo then I went into the back yard and pinched a tomato gosh it was lovely so nice I came back to Burnie with a bag of them and had tomatoes on toast for tea tonight. Thanks again Jo for a lovely catch up afternoon.

HELP Please

Hi Girls, I'm after the names of any stitchery quilt patterns for babies quilts with my Granddaughters and granddaughters in law being pregnant ect., I am on the hunt ,I have just finished Teddy's in my garden twice so dont want to do that one again any help would be great thanks

Here are some of my hexigons that I have been doing and swaping between my other quilting projects the ones with the white around them will be removed and repositioned to suit the quilt this is going to be another fun project me thinks.

Baby Shower

Well today Rosie and I went to Devonport to the baby shower for my new great grandson what lovely presents there were for them. I did manage to get the baby quilt done in time, while I was there I was informed that another new great grandchild was on the way they are not going to find out what the baby is so this quilt will have to be one that will do either a boy or girl LOL at least I have 6 months to work out what I'm going to do.

Mug Bag

This is just a small Mug Bag I made today it has elastic on the top of both sides which keeps your mug snug :)

I think I need to get on hubby's back to get my table and chairs painted :)

Quilt for Greatgrandson due 17th Feb

This is one of the tops for the two quilts I am doing for my future G/Grandson due on the 17th of Feb so far it is still only the top I hope to get it quilted tomorrow in time for the baby shower next Sunday

Then the other one the first one I finished doing today hope I do get then done in time

A Visitor

Today I found a surprise visitor when I went to pick some of the thornless blackberries Ray put in last year,

I dont think the poor thing got much to eat it seems to have gotten its head caught in the bird netting, when it was found it was allready dead.

1" hexies

I have been accepted by an on line hexie swap group this is my first 2     1" hexies.
I have been doing a lot of hexies of late all different sizes these are the first ones for this size grouping

The Cactus belonged to Rosie's aunt who passed away last year, I brought the plant home but after a little while it looked like it was dead however I would not toss it just persevered with it and look at it now gorgeous flowers growing outside the old cattery its not just a tin shed promise its all lined out with vinyl on the floors, The other pic is the little girl I spend time with wonder who did the jigsaw puzzle I know who Mummy was told did it.

Sort of a dare

This is a bit of a dare you don't tell me I wouldn't dare cause I will, providing the mickey is being taken out of me and not hurting anyone else. anyway  who would call anyone a  friend that even took a pic of you like this even if it was Christmas day don't know what was going on for me to have a face like that in the first place LOL

These are a few pics of the Roses Ray bought for our garden for Christmas also the gooseberry's that will be preserved tonight,  I also caught Ray watering his veggie garden so had to grab that he would hide my camera if he knew I'd put it on here , Santa up the water tower at Evendale on our way back from Hobart and a couple of the carvings at Campbeltown with Rosie also on the way home from Hobart.
