I think we may have had a bit of a storm on Saturday night and all day Sunday it blew and then blew some more , I was without power for just over 36 hrs which for us means no water either, poor hubby had to get buckets of water out of the cow trough just to flush the loo :) Then I had to drive down to Rosie's house to get some water for drinking and have a shower LOL fortunatley the power came on again tonight I was going through withdrawals from blogland after two full days of it all. The pics with the muddy Rd is where I live I took them from the saftey of the car though I was not getting back out in it again LOL
On Wednesday Rosie Debby and I went on a trip to Exeter to visit Pauline at Calico Crossroads. We took our lunch which we had out in the workroom with Pauline then out came my camera to take a few pics to show all of you sorry I did not take pics of what we bought.
Since I have no finishes to show you I thought I'd show you all my baby, her name is Bekki Lee she was re birthed in 2005-2006 I don't know where I put the "birth certificate" :o) to checkout her proper date etc., The work that goes into this re birthing process is amazing each hair being done individually with real hair and all the little baby markings. She is feeling a bit strange just now as Rose and I swapped baby beds so this is her first night in this bed. I dont think she thinks much of me as a mummy I gave her brother to Rose now I have changed her bed poor wee mite must be wondering whats next.
This is a pic of a quilt I finished today for my friends little foster boy so it's one down three more to go there are four foster children in this lovely wee family so cant do one without the others :-)
Today was the first really nice day we have had for so long that after a little stitching in the morning Rosie and I headed away to Calico Crossroads we didn't leave the shop till 6.15pm poor Pauline closes at 4pm however she was going to be staying back to cut out some kits for my favorite quilt don't suppose I need to say it was "Family Values" so we were not really too naughty staying late. It was great to catch up with Pauline and the wonderful fragrance in her shop is SO nice I had to bring that home to, the vast mix of lovelies she has are a joy to behold I love a visit there. We got home at 9.10 pm :) sorry I have no pics to show forgot to take any. Hope all the teachers and mothers out there are enjoying your holidays
