Advent doll pic & my Fav dolls

These are just quick pics mainly to show you the doll I got from Kaylee for my Christmas day gift and a couple of my favorite dolls bought from reborn doll makers the old pram cost me nearly as much as a doll $300.00 I just couldn't find a genuine old pram so I had to cough up the$$ $ The dark doll is the one from Kaylee Thanks again Kaylee

Advent gifts

These are my Advent gifts from Kaylee lots of Rik Rak ,an Angel Tree decoration, a lovely covered soap for my drawer , three more Christmas tree decorations  (Which are put away with the tree) a lovely needle case and pouch to match, a pattern and the fabric to make it up , hand cream, talcum powder, folder cover, and a gorgeous doll who is not showing up in the pic as she is a black doll .

I think I will get her out she is sitting with my reborn dolls and take another pic of her outside in the pram she is just too lovely for you not to see properly . this pic is not a very good one AT ALL of any of the lovely gifts I received from Kaylee.

Help with Hexagons

Can anyone help me ? I want to make 1/4" hexagons I got the papers however when I tried to cut the fabric from the temp plate it was way too big and if I had left it like that I could not have gotten the papers out , so any help would be great

we have a visitor

We have a little visitor for three weeks do you think she is comfy in Bobby's bed ?

I was a bit concerned as to how they would both get on especially through the night while we were asleep however since this is what I got up to see this morning I think she will be just fine ! Don't you ? I think her mum and dad were a bit secretly concerned too, Shiloh will miss her mummy and Daddy big time as they spoil her rotten and where dad goes thats where Shiloh goes.

After the rain

We have had rain for over a week now however it has done well for the poppies , this is from my back fence yesterday it was all just green tops

I thought I'd just show some of my Advent gifts from Kaylee of Krafty Kaylee today,

This is what happened to me today

You will not believe this!!!!!, Today I went shopping at woollies for the weekly shopping plus a few Christmas things like the leg of ham , WELL while I'm paying my bill somebody pinched my trolley full of groceries you should have seen the look on my face( I'm one of those folks who shows all with my expressions) to say I was gob smacked would be an understatement there I am just turning to put my handbag back in the trolley only to find NO TROLLEY the poor kid who was serving me was speechless the shop was packed I had had to wait ten mins at least at the register everybody is looking at me and saying things like how brazen is that ? and I don't believe it  ect , Rosie then comes round with the car to see whats keeping me and what all the commotion is about ? I then went to tell Rosie what had happened only to find out SHE WAS THE CULPRIT   Thinking she was helping me she had come into the supermarket and taken my trolley to the car so the moral of this LONG storey is DON'T EVER SHOP IF Rosie is about.
Funny now!!! but I was worried sick at first,  then  mortified when I had to say to the front end control girl it was my friend who had taken them.

Rosie is back (I hope)

I went up to Rosie's home tonight and we set up a new blog for her she is now known as happy rosie I hope  you can all go and wellcome her back to blogland, every time Rosie gets her blog going something happens and she cant get back into it, so lets hope this one will last a bit longer for her.

My wee pity party

I'm having a not so wee pity party much more like a big kid tantrum all my online friends are at a lovely stitching retreat in Hagley and I have to stay at home to look after Qiqa , we are going to see some silly 3D movie which I'm sure I will just love (NOT.) don't you all feel so sorry for me :(:(

First block of remember when

This is the first block from "Remember When" by Libby Richardson which I am doing from a block of the month at Calico Crossroads it's really nice to stitch, allthough I really should be doing my Gardeners journal since I did join the stitch along but I can leave this one at Qiqa's house while she plays I can get a few stitches in LOL

This is the top only of a small quilt I am doing for my future Great Grandchild if the baby is a boy I'm also working on an other one for a girl as we dont know which the baby will be.

A quilt for Qiqa

This is a quilt I have almost finished for Qiqa the little girl I have been looking after the pic was taken in the front porch of their house, as you can see I am still doing the binding, Qiqa had to get into the picture because it is her quilt  LOL the quilt is one from the pajama Party book.
Rosie and I had a quick trip into Calico Crossroads on the way back to Burnie after taking Qiqa to see the Wiggles in Launceston , Pauline has the most amazing new needles you have to see them to believe it they have a three sided point not a round point we got some then after trying them made a quick phone call to get Pauline to send up another two pkts. Go check them out on your next visit to Launceston.

Sad news

My darling little Granddaughter Isabella passed away on Wednesday 14th, those of you who know me well will know she was born ill but this has not made her passing any easier to cope with, so if I'm away again its just because I'm so up and down at the moment, As a Christian I believe she is at long last running like the wee girl she is and playing with other precious children who have gone on to a better life . If it were not for my faith I really dont think I could cope at all.

I'm Back I think :)

Looks like I'm back ( hopefully).
My GP friend passed her Australian med finals, I'm back home nights, still at her place Moday/Friday and some weekends if she is on call.

These are two quilts I have done while I was away ( if I remember how to post them) The first one is for a friends foster child, and the small lap quilt is for my G/Grandson as a wee quilt for when he falls asleep in the car.

Sorry I'm A W l

Sorry I'm absent without leave , I am staying with a friend looking after her daughter while she works and studies for her finals which are starting in March and finishing in May , since my laptop does nt work at her home I cant get on the blogs much only when I'm home to see poor old never complaining hubby. He really is a dear just dont anybody tell him I said that .
 I hope to be back blogging in May .

We had a new member of the family arrive poor wee thing doesnt know what her name is one min it's Sophie then it's Bessie I cant make up my mind what do you think??

No Celebrations for us this year

Well lets hope next year is better I spoiled Christmas for both hubby and I, we were going out for Christmas dinner guess who got pneumonia on the 23rd and still have it after two lots of antibiotics, as if that was not enough the phones went bung cant be fixed till after new year as its a big fault , then yesterday the water pump gave up so after allmost two days with no water a new pump was installed $2800 later .someone please tell me nothing else can happen :-)
